Vaad Hakohol Update 5/27/09
Court Confirms New Vaad Hakohol Elections Valid – Twice In the same Day!
The prior Vaad Hakohol (Rubashkin Faction) went back to court today. They were trying to stop the New Vaad from taking office until future court motions will be heard.
The first court action was filed in State Court this morning. The court denied Rubashkins motion.
David Berger, Rubashkins Lawyer, (known well to the community from the days he represented the Menude, David Fisher), then immediately went to the Appellate Court and filed an appeal.
The Appellate Court, reaffirming the lower court’s decision, also denied Rubashkins motion.
The next court date is set for June 3d, when Yanky Suffern and Shmuel Plotkin will try to have Rabbi Osdoba’s Psak Din, against the elections, accepted by the court.
